Clinical Interests
Dr. So is a fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon who specializes in joint replacement for the treatment of hip and knee arthritis. He also treats patients with meniscal injuries of the knee, tears of the patellar and quadriceps tendons, avascular necrosis of the hip, fractures of the proximal femur, infected hip and knee replacements, as well as fractures around joint replacements.

Research Interests
Dr. So’s research interests include hip-spine relations pertaining to the optimal position of the acetabular cup as well as periprosthetic joint infections and risk factors associated with the failure of two-stage reimplantation procedures.

Dr. So received his undergraduate degree in Industrial & Operations Engineering at the University of Michigan. He then earned his medical doctorate degree from the Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, MI. He then stayed in Detroit to complete his orthopaedic residency at Henry Ford Hospital. Following residency, he completed an additional fellowship year focusing on complex joint replacement and adult reconstructive surgery at the University of Pennsylvania.
